Il fait toujours beau à Marrakech...
Aujourd'hui, je vais au Palais de la Bahia, palais de la Belle, commandé par le grand vizir Sidi Moussa au 19ème siècle.
Il est splendide. 
Pour ceux qui connaissent l'Alhambra de Grenade, il y a des similitudes dans la déco, les zelliges, les stucs, les plafonds à caissons, les patios... 
Un vrai régal pour les yeux. 
Bien que de nombreux groupes visitent le palais, ils le font tellement au pas de charge, ce qui fait que l'on est souvent seul dans les pièces. Ceux qui ont pris un guide ont aussi pris l'option rapidité....
Ensuite, je marche un peu au hasard, le long du palais Badi, dont le mur d'enceinte abrite des nids de 
cigognes. Je marche aussi dans l'ancien quartier juif, le Mellah, avant d'aller manger un morceau au restau "Nid d'cigognes", dont les terrasses font face à un superbe nid de cigognes, occupé bien sûr. C'est génial de voir la cigogne regarder le spectacle de la rue, elle se penche, tourne la tête, fait tak tak tak.... 
Au dessert, j'ai mangé une orange à la cannelle, délicieux.
Les Tombeaux Saadiens étant juste en face du restau, je décide d'y aller. C'est là qu'il y a les tombeaux de la dynastie saadienne, dynastie qui a une histoire assez mouvementée. 
Les tombeaux sont superbes, mais le site est tout petit et les groupes de touristes fort nombreux. Pour le tombeau principal, 
il y a la file d'attente. Pire qu'à la Poste... C'est mieux de visiter les sites le matin, c'est plus calme. Prix d'entrée des Tombeaux Saadiens: 10 Dh
Ensuite, je me dirige vers la Koutoubia, puis la place Jemaa El Fnaa, avant d'aller faire une pause sur la terrasse du riad pour écrire quelques cartes postales.
Puis je vais manger une délicieuse brochette de poulet, avec salade, riz et frites (!) chez Toubkal, sur la place. Et le thé à la menthe bien sûr! Depuis la salle du premier étage, on a la vue sur la place et toute l'ambiance qui va avec. Le bruit, le monde, les odeurs...

I am visiting the Bahia Palace this morning, built in the 19th century by Sidi Moussa, grand vizir of the Sultan. For those who know the Alhambra Palace in Granada, much of it is similar to it.

Les tombeaux sont superbes, mais le site est tout petit et les groupes de touristes fort nombreux. Pour le tombeau principal, 
il y a la file d'attente. Pire qu'à la Poste... C'est mieux de visiter les sites le matin, c'est plus calme. I am visiting the Bahia Palace this morning, built in the 19th century by Sidi Moussa, grand vizir of the Sultan. For those who know the Alhambra Palace in Granada, much of it is similar to it.

It is a beautiful place. 
Though many groups visit it, they move on so fast that one is often alone in the rooms. I enjoy being on my own, taking all my time. 
Entrance fee to the Palace: 10 Dh (1 Euro)
Then, I walk in the area, admiring the many storks who have built their nests on the walls of the Badi Palace, walking around in the Mellah area, former jewish quarter.
Then it is time for lunch, I go to the "Storks' Nest", whose terraces overook a stork nest, with stork included!
It seems the bird enjoys watching life below.
Then I decide to visit the Saadian Tombs, (16th century), so many groups in this rather small place, it is not peaceful at all, as it should be. One has even to stand in a line to see the main mausoleum.
Entrance fee to the Tombs: 10 Dh
Right after, I walk back to the Koutoubia
mosque and Jemaa El Fnaa square, before returning to the riad, where I write some postcards on the roof terrace.
I have my dinner at Toubkal's, on the square, eating chicken, salad, rice and fries...
It is a friendly place at very good prices. On the first floor, one can enjoy the view over the place. It is so incredible there, so busy.

Heute morgen gehe ich zur Bahia Palast. 
Viele Gruppen sind auch da, aber sie gehen so schnell, dass man oft allein in den Räumen stehen kann. 
Ansonsten ist der Palast sehr ruhig, man hört nichts vom Aussenleben.

Er ist richtig prachtvoll.

.Viele Gruppen sind auch da, aber sie gehen so schnell, dass man oft allein in den Räumen stehen kann. 
Ansonsten ist der Palast sehr ruhig, man hört nichts vom Aussenleben.
Danach gehe ich noch in das Viertel, sehe viele Störche auf den Mauern oder Türmen. Laufe auch im Mellah, das ehemalige jüdische Viertel. Es ist eher eine Gegend wo sehr arme Leute leben, so laufe ich nicht allzu weit. Ich esse im "Storchs Nest", von den Terrassen hat man einen tollen Blick auf ein Nest. Ganz niedlich!
Ich besichtige auch die Saadiergräber, die Nekropole von der Saadier Familie, vom 16. Jahrhundert. Es gibt so viele Gruppen um diese Zeit, dass es sehr laut wird und die Besichtigung ist nicht so angenehm. Um das Saal der 12 Säulen zu sehen, muss man in einer Schlange stehen. Naja, es ist trotzdem sehr schön.
Dann laufe ich zurück zum Hauptplatz, gehe erstmal ins Riad, wo ich auf der Terrasse ein paar Postkarten in aller Ruhe schreiben kann, dann gehe ich zu Toubkals, wo ich gut und preiswert essen kann, und noch dazu Pfefferminztee, ist ja Pflicht in Marokko! Und natürlich Blick auf dem Platz, wo es immer so viel los ist. Toll!
